Ghana Premier League table, fixtures and predictions: the week's matches with probabilities

TipsQuant editorial team · Updated

The Ghana Premier League is a low-scoring, home-heavy competition, and that shapes everything the model says about it. This page carries the fixtures for the next seven days with 1/X/2 probabilities, the current table, and the result, goals and both-teams-to-score tips that cleared our thresholds for GPL matches only. The numbers refresh on their own every day; the words around them are meant to stay true all season.

A low-scoring league changes which markets are worth your time

The model fits a scoring level for each competition, and Ghana's sits well below the big European leagues. Two consequences follow. Under 2.5 goals clears its 62% threshold far more often than over 2.5 clears 60%, so the goals table on this page leans towards unders for most of the season. And "no" in both teams to score is a more common tip than "yes". If you prefer backing goals, the over 1.5 prediction line is usually the more realistic one for Ghanaian fixtures, and it has its own page.

Home wins, and why the away draw matters here

Home advantage in the GPL is strong, and the model's fitted figure for it is one of the larger ones in our data. But a strong home advantage in a low-scoring league does not translate into a long list of home bankers: the favourite often sits in the high forties or low fifties, just under the 55% mark a 1X2 tip needs. What it does produce is a draw probability that frequently reaches the low thirties, which is why Ghanaian matches turn up on the draw prediction page more than their share. A 0-0 or 1-1 in the correct score table is not the model being lazy; it is the league.

When to trust the numbers less

Early in the season, when promoted clubs have not yet played the eight matches the model requires, and in the final rounds, when teams safe in mid-table have nothing to play for and the ones fighting relegation have everything. The model prices every match as if both sides want to win it. Fixtures rearranged at short notice, which happen, keep their probabilities but not their original kick-off time, so check the time before you stake.

How we pick, and how to read this page

Every figure here comes from the Dixon–Coles adjusted Poisson model described on the methodology page, with the goals markets calibrated on past seasons and blended with bookmaker odds where those are available. The NPFL page covers Nigeria in the same format, and the weekend prediction page lists Saturday's and Sunday's tips across every competition we cover.

Any bet can lose, including an under 2.5 at 65% in a league known for low scores. Bet only if you are aged 18+, stake what you can afford to lose, and see our responsible gambling page for the tools that help you keep it that way.

The settled record of the last 30 days, every competition

Every tip is logged before kick-off and settled automatically from the final score. Nothing is edited after the match.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Ghana Premier League table here the live table?

It is rebuilt from the finished results each morning and again during the day. It is not updated minute by minute during a match, so a result from an hour ago appears at the next refresh rather than instantly.

Do you give Ghana Premier League predictions for today's results?

The fixtures table covers the next seven days, so on a matchday today's games are at the top with their probabilities. The tips tables below it only show the matches that clear our thresholds, and the result of each tip is settled automatically on the track record.

Why do so few GPL matches appear in the tips tables?

Low-scoring leagues give the model little to be confident about. Many Ghanaian matches sit close to a three-way split in the 1X2 market and below the 60% mark for over 2.5, so they get a probability in the fixtures table but no tip. That is the thresholds working as intended.

What time are Ghana Premier League kick-offs on this page?

The site lists kick-offs in East Africa Time and converts them to your local time. Ghana is three hours behind EAT, so a match listed at 18:00 EAT kicks off at 15:00 in Accra or Kumasi.

Does the model know about the Ghana Premier League's cup competitions?

Domestic cup matches are not in the data. Ghanaian clubs enter the ratings through league matches and, for the clubs that qualify, through the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup, which also tie them to clubs from the other African leagues we cover.
