How to read each row

The three percentages in a row add up to 100. The bold one is our pick, which is simply the likeliest of the three results. The double column shows the two likeliest results together and their combined chance. A pick in the mid-forties is a lean, not a strong call. When all three numbers sit between 25% and 40%, any result would be ordinary, and that is the kind of game where a double earns its extra cost.

When two sides are close, the draw can come out as the least likely of the three, so the suggested double is sometimes 1 or 2 rather than 1X or X2. That looks odd on a coupon, but it follows the numbers: with the draw near a quarter and both teams in the high thirties, "either team wins" is the wider cover.

A coupon that closes before its last game

The midweek games are spread over more than one evening, but the coupon closes when the first of them kicks off, and our picks are frozen at that moment too. Until then the numbers move with each of the four daily updates, so a pick can change between the day the list appears and the day it closes. If you fill your coupon early, look at the table again just before you submit, and check the team news for the games at the end of the list: they are the ones furthest from the moment you commit.

Where to spend your doubles

On most jackpot coupons, each extra result you add on a game multiplies the number of lines you pay for, so check how Betika prices a combination before you add several. The summary under the table shows what covering the three least certain games does to the chance of a perfect coupon. Use your doubles on the lowest bold numbers, not on the games you happen to feel unsure about. A 37% pick covered to 75% helps the coupon far more than a 55% pick covered to 80%.

How we pick

The probabilities come from the adjusted Poisson model set out on our methodology page, which rates every club from its scores, blended half and half with bookmaker prices once the margin is removed. A row marked "from the odds" involves a club the model does not rate yet, and its numbers are the organiser's prices with the margin taken out.
