No bet is zero risk, and no tip is ever certain. Every match can end in a way nobody expected, and the shortest price on the board still loses some of the time. What a model can do is measure the risk. Every tip on this page shows its probability, and its risk is simply the rest: a tip at 90% carries a 10% risk, about one loss in every ten such bets. The tables keep only today's tips with the smallest risk the model produces in three markets: double chance, over 1.5 goals and the straight win.

Risk is 100 minus the probability

Read each row twice. The probability says how often a tip like this should win; 100 minus it says how often it should lose. At 85% that is 15 losses in 100, at 90% it is 10, at 95% it is 5. Those losses do not arrive politely spaced: three can come in one week and then none for a month.

The price matters as much as the risk. Fair odds are 1 ÷ probability, so a 90% tip is worth 1.11. At that price nine winners pay for one loser and nothing more, and a bookmaker price below fair odds loses money slowly over many bets even though most of them win. Low risk and good value are different things; the fair odds column shows which one you are getting.

What happens when you put them together

Readers often take three or four of these tips and put them on one slip, because each looks safe on its own. On a slip the chances multiply, and the risk grows with every leg:

Legs at 90% each Chance the slip lands Chance it loses Fair total odds
1 90% 10% 1.11
2 81% 19% 1.23
3 73% 27% 1.37
5 59% 41% 1.69
7 48% 52% 2.09

Seven legs at 90% reach about the odds of a sure 2 odds slip and lose more often than they land. That holds at any mix of legs: at fair prices, a slip at total odds of 2.0 lands about half the time, however safe each leg looks. The accumulator calculator does the multiplication for your own legs.

Why the bars here are higher

The site prints a double chance tip from 80%, over 1.5 from 78% and a favourite from 55%. This page asks for more: 85% for double chance and over 1.5, 75% for a straight win, so that only the bottom end of the risk scale is shown. The cost is that on a quiet day a table can be empty, which means nothing cleared the bar, not that data is missing. A busy weekend brings more rows, but not lower risk per row.

One risk the tables cannot show is the model's own error. The probabilities come from results and, where available, the market's prices; a rotated side, a late injury or a waterlogged pitch is not in them. Whether the numbers deserve trust is a question for the record below: if each market's hit rate sits close to the probabilities its tips carried, the risk figures mean what they say.

How we pick, and where to check

Every row comes from the Dixon–Coles adjusted Poisson model that runs the site. Goals probabilities are calibrated on past seasons; the match result, and through it double chance, is blended half and half with bookmaker odds where odds are available, while over 1.5 is the model's own number. The methodology page explains each step, and every tip is logged before kick-off and settled from the 90-minute score on the track record page. Lower risk starts with the stake

The one risk you control fully is how much you put on. Bet only what you can lose without it hurting, never raise the stake to win back a loss, and stop when betting stops being fun. Times are in East Africa Time, converted to your local clock; Nigeria is two hours behind EAT and Ghana three. The site is for adults aged 18+ only, and the responsible gambling page lists the limits you can set and where to get help. Any bet can lose.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a zero risk betting strategy?

No. Every bet can lose, and so can every system built from bets. Staking plans that claim to remove risk, such as doubling the stake after each loss, only make the eventual loss bigger. What you control is the price you accept and the size of your stake.

Do low risk football predictions still lose?

Yes. A tip at 90% is expected to lose about one time in ten, and a tip at 85% about three times in twenty. The 30-day record on this page counts the losers next to the winners, market by market.

What is a high probability football prediction?

A tip whose chance is well above the usual bar for its market. On this page that means double chance or over 1.5 goals at 85% or more, or a straight win at 75% or more. High probability always comes with short odds.

How is a team's win probability worked out?

The model estimates how many goals each side should score, works out the chance of every scoreline, and adds up the ones where that team wins. Where bookmaker odds are available, the result is blended half and half with the odds' implied probability once the margin is removed.

Is there a prediction site whose tips always win?

No. A site that appears to win every day is hiding its losses. Ask for a record where every tip was logged before kick-off and settled in public, misses included; ours is on the track record page.

Why is one of the tables on this page empty?

Because no match today reached the bar for that table. The bars here are stricter than on the market pages, and the page shows nothing rather than lower them.
